New Dimension Computing was established in 1996 by Martin Treadaway, previously a partner in a national practice of quantity surveyors, where QSPlus software was originally developed for quantity surveyors by quantity surveyors. The original version of QSPlus was redeveloped for the Windows platform by a team led by Jess Barker- Chaplin.  And now runs on XP and Vista.

QSPlus provides an integrated suite of QS software to meet the requirements of today’s busy professional.  Producing Cost Plan estimates, Bills of Quantities, Monthly Valuations for Payment Certificates and a Final Account wrap up of the contract based on variations to the bills of quantities items plus new added items.

QSPlus has evolved into an International version capable of producing Cost Plans according to the BCIS Common arrangement and Bills of quantities based on SMM7 or POMI with comprehensive standard libraries.  It can accommodate virtually any standard library from countries using different systems of measurement and standard library.  The added benefit is that QSPlus is a multi user data base allowing collaboration by users on all projects on a client server network.

The Company now has offices in Cape Town (where development and support takes place), Johannesburg, Durban and Port Elizabeth.

In addition to QSPlus NDC also develops and distributes AutoSpec Professional and www.Autospec.com, the specification system for specifiers driven by PowerSpec the intelligent specification writer.
